Elvis Has Been Sighted at the North Pole

A charming Christmas tale sung Elvis style by Joe A and the Crawfish Band ( Joe Auenson (Ahn-son), this toe-tapping pleaser will entertain the whole family. A Louisiana native, Joe A performed on the legendary Bossier strip and southern circuit in the 50's often rubbing shoulders and sharing rides to gigs with the young, emerging Elvis Presley.

Besides playing for two Presidential Inaugurals, Joe A and the Crawfish Band have shared stages with an unbelievably long list of stars. While there isn't room to name them all, notables include: The Temptations, The Beachboys, The Monkees, The Shirelles, The Supremes, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Foundations, Chuck Berry, Leon Russell, Delbert McClinton, Three Dog Night, The Spinners, and Willie Nelson and Family. They can be heard on film scores and jingles for companies like McDonald's, Oldsmobile, Isuzu, Mazda and dozens of other radio and television programs.

The SONGWRITER
Jeanie Perkins, who wrote ELVIS HAS BEEN SIGHTED AT THE NORTH POLE, is a Mobile Bay Area musician and singer-songwriter. After moving to Denton, Texas to attend the prestigious music school at University of North Texas, she earned a Bachelors Degree in Music Composition. She remained in Dallas for many years, working extensively in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Los Angeles, and Nashville.

Meanwhile, back in Texas, Jeanie was a winner of the B.W. Stevenson Songwriting Competition at the legendary Poor David's Pub. She also was a two-time New Folk Finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1996 & 1997. It was a special honor to be invited by Rod Kennedy, founder and producer of the Kerrville Folk Festival to perform at the kickoff of his publicity tour promoting his book that chronicles his experiences with the festival.

Memorial for festival crush victims

A memorial service will be held for the 21 people who were crushed to death at the Love Parade techno music festival in Germany. The memorial service was to be held at Salvator Church and shown live on screens in a football stadium and a dozen other churches in the western city of Duisburg.
